The findings of a state investigation into the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood in Britain will be partially withheld because ministers fear criticizing the group could irritate UK ally Qatar, media report.

As officials and ministers continue to wrangle over the probe’s findings, a report detailing the investigation has reportedly been delayed.

Central to the document, is a government inquiry into whether the Brotherhood should be categorized as a terrorist organization.

The global Islamist group, with core roots in Egypt, has thrived in the UK of late despite criticism that it promotes extremist activities in Gulf States.

Prime Minister David Cameron announced the probe in April, and its findings were expected to surface in July. Britain’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Sir John Jenkins, conducted the investigation.

While inside sources previously indicated they hoped the investigation’s findings would be released in full, Downing Street told the Financial Times on Monday the final report will be partially redacted, and only its “principal findings” will be published.

According to the paper, the controversial report, due for release in January, concludes the Muslim Brotherhood is not a terrorist organization. Jenkins’ probe also reportedly uncovered very little evidence the Brotherhood’s members were implicated in terrorist activities.

Government aides told the FT the final report won’t recommend banning the Muslim Brotherhood in Britain. But certain ministers fear these findings could anger prominent business allies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia, who allegedly pressurized Cameron into commissioning the inquiry.

Government officials are attempting to intensify the report’s critical reflections on the Muslim Brotherhood, according to the FT. Nevertheless, ministers are reluctant to oversee the publication of findings that are too robust as they could irritate UK ally Qatar, which has recently signed an intelligence-sharing pact with Britain.

Qatar, an avid supporter of the Brotherhood, has been subject to funding allegations of late relating to the Islamic State.

The findings of Jenkins’ investigation are characterized by tense geopolitical undertones and carry strategic weight for Britain on a fraught global stage, according to one of its authors.

“The geopolitics of this are incredibly complex, especially when we are trying to form a fragile coalition to fight ISIS in Iraq and Syria,” he told the Financial Times.

Sources who have seen Jenkins’ report say it won’t seek to recommend concrete policies, but rather will highlight key networks of groups, some of which are thought to be involved in extremist activities.

British ministers are then expected to assess these groups individually and potentially launch further investigations in certain cases.

Certain government officials are reportedly angered by recent leaks from the coming report, arguing they portray its findings as more conclusive than they are.

One government official caused controversy in October by claiming UK ministers would pursue key figures using the “Al Capone method.”

“We cannot get them for terrorism, but I bet you they don’t pay their taxes,” he told the Telegraph.

Reflecting on the report’s findings, a government adviser told the Financial Times the document was dense and carefully compiled, but it lacked “hard and fast answers.”

The Muslim Brotherhood, founded in 1928, rose to power in Egypt’s 2012 election. The political Islamist group was subsequently overthrown by a military coup in 2013.

Egypt’s interim government has officially described the Brotherhood as a terror group, imprisoning its leading members and saying it’s responsible for numerous attacks in the troubled state.

Despite the ferocity of these allegations, however, the Brotherhood has denied responsibility for the attacks.

After hearing the news, friends eulogized him on Facebook. “You are an example to every child in the country who wants to protect the state,” a fellow soldier wrote commending his valor.

A close friend of his posted their most recent WhatsApp conversation where Mendelovich attempted to assuage her fears for his life before entering Gaza. “Look, it’s all about your attitude. The army is a phase in one’s life, there’s no need to be stuck inside it forever. Understand?” he said.

“I thought I understood,” her friend wrote in a post above that WhatsApp screenshot.

“But I don’t think you understand how difficult it is for me now to speak about you in the past tense… For certain people, you may just be a name in the news or in ceremonies, but to me you are my world and there is nobody else like you.”

Palestinian Muslims in the Middle East Digging up Christian Bodies From Cemeteries and Burning Them

JERUSALEM, Israel – The Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, dug up Christian graves in the Gaza Strip because they said the Christian bodies defiled the land, a human rights group said.

“The Christians in the Palestinian Authority areas [are] facing persecutions. Their homes, their churches they get attacked almost every day,” said Majed El Shafie, founder and president of One Free World International, a Canadian-based human rights group.

Shortly after Hamas seized control of the Gaza Strip in a violent coup in June 2007, El Shafie said his group received reports of two kinds of violations.

“The first one that Hamas was torturing the members of Fatah in Gaza,” El Shafie told CBN News.

“The second one [was] that Hamas was going to the graveyards of the Christians, digging up the dead body of the Christians, throwing them and burning them and saying ‘you cannot bury your dead bodies here because its our land, it’s a holy land.

By burying your Christian families here you are desecrating the land.’ And we received this [information] about five graves in Gaza,” El Shafie said.

grave diggersCapture

El Shafie said his group had also received reports about Christian families “being forced to cooperate with Hamas or their children or their wives will get raped or will get persecuted.” So they were forced to cooperate with Hamas to protect their families, he said.

An estimated 3,500 Christians live amidst some 1.4 million Muslims in the Gaza Strip. The tiny Christian community had hoped for some protection from Hamas when it came to power.

But Christian and Western targets have come under repeated attacks in the last few years allegedly from Islamic fundamentalist groups. Two years ago a Palestinian Christian, who worked for the Bible Society, was kidnapped and murdered, reportedly for refusing to convert to Islam.

According to El Shafie, the situation of Christians in the West Bank where the Palestinian Authority is in control is better. The PA wants support from the West so the leaders try to portray themselves as a “democratic country,” he said.

But El Shafie pointed to Bethlehem, the city of Jesus birth, where there has been a steady exodus of the Christian community for decades.

Bethlehem has become a “tourist zone” for the PA, he said. “Basically they don’t want the Christians there but they want the Christian tourists to come and to take their money.”

El Shafie is well acquainted with persecution. Raised in a prominent Egyptian Muslim family, El Shafie became a Christian at 18 years old. He was arrested, tortured and sentenced to death for his faith. He escaped and fled to Israel where he was helped by international organizations to immigrate to Canada.

He says the future of Christians in the Muslim world is up to the Christians in the West.

“From the beginning of the Holocaust until all the way to Darfur all of this did not happen just because the people are doing evil. It’s because the people who sit around did not do something to stop it,” said El Shafie.

He said Christians should pray every day for the persecuted church as well as take action by going to their congressmen or parliamentarians to raise the issue. In many cases Western countries are giving aid to countries that persecute Christian minorities. Westerners should demand that their governments connect international aid to improving human rights, he said.

Despite the persecution, El Shafie said that Christians are still victorious.

“The persecuted Christians [are] dying but they [are] still smiling. They are in a very deep dark night but they still have the candle of the Lord the candle of hope. Our enemy have very strong weapon. Our enemy has [a] very strong army but we have the Lord Almighty.

“Count on it. Count on it. We will fight unto the end in Jesus name and always remember, they can always kill the dreamer but no one can kill the dream,” he said.

Two sides used gunfire and petrol bombs

HONOR VIOLENCECapture

At least 23 people were killed in clashes between rival families in the southern Egyptian city of Aswan, health and security officials said on Saturday.

A man from one group sexually accosted a woman from another, officials said Saturday.

The violence erupted late Friday after students from the feuding families had scrawled insulting graffiti on the walls of a local school, security sources said

The two families hail from a Nubian group and the Arab Beni Helal clan, the sources said.
The two sides used gunfire and petrol bombs and several houses burned to the ground before police were able to stop the fighting on Saturday morning, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.

Mohamed Sorour, a health ministry official in Aswan, told Reuters the number of dead had risen to 23 by Saturday afternoon. He said 31 people were hospitalised.

The governor ordered 17 local schools to cancel classes on Sunday, the first day of the work week in Egypt, state news agency MENA reported.

State Dept. Buries Evidence of Saudi Textbook’s Religious,Political and Ideological Indoctrination

A comprehensive study commissioned by the State Dept. was suppressed because the result showed such damning evidence.

A study commissioned by the State Department which shows the systematic indoctrination of Saudi school children with extremist ideology through their school textbooks has been suppressed by the very government agency that requested it.

Directed by the Obama administration not willing to rock the boat at a time when American relations with Saudi Arabia are strained, the State Department has refused to make the results of the study public.

In 2011, the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy (ICRD), a non-profit organization, was contracted by the State Department to conduct a comprehensive study on Saudi Arabia’s government-issued textbooks, which are used both inside the kingdom and abroad – including those in the United States. By 2012, the report was ready.

Yet, because the results were so damning to the Saudis — showing intense religious hatred to Christians and Jews, as well as incitement to act against them — the report was never made public. The accusations of intentional suppression were made by the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank head by former CIA chief R. James Woolsey.

The Foundation reports that a State Department official confirmed that ICRD was paid half a million dollars to conduct the study, which is referred to on ICRD’s website. The same official claimed that the project was not a “study” but was in actuality a “technical assistance program” designed to help the kingdom identify areas where reforms need to be made.

The Foundation asserts that withholding the results of the study is a supreme disservice to the American public and quotes Michael Posner, who directed the State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor when the study was commissioned. “The broader issue to me is a security interest … when you have schools or texts or the combination that are essentially reinforcing the worst stereotypes and promoting this vitriolic approach, you’re actually radicalizing young people for the next generation,” Posner said.

Click to access Textbook_Diplomacy.pdf

In a report titled “Textbook Diplomacy: Why the State Department Shelved a Study on Incitement in Saudi Educational Materials,” the Foundation also quotes Stuart Levy, the former Undersecretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence for the U.S. Department of Treasury. Levy contends that fighting this indoctrination is “even more important” than fighting terrorist finance. “Unless the next generation of children is taught to reject violent extremism, we will forever be faced with the challenge of disrupting the next group of terrorist facilitators and supporters,” Levy added.

saudi text books Capture

In addition to schools within the kingdom, the textbooks are sent for free to close to 20 Saudi-run academies abroad, including those in the United States.

Ahmed Omar Abu Ali

Ahmed Omar Abu Ali found guilty of conspiring to assassinate George W.Bush and of being a member of al-Qaeda.

The Foundation remarks that, “It is worth noting that the 1999 valedictorian of a Saudi Academy in northern Virginia that used the Kingdom’s textbooks is currently serving a life sentence for conspiring with al Qaeda to assassinate President George W. Bush.”

After the September 11, 2001 attacks, when it emerged that 15 of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, successive U.S. governments have tried to influence the Saudis to rewrite its textbooks which were found to contain hateful, extremist material.

California: Muslim Arrested in LA Subway Plot Attended Terror Mosque

The National Guard reservist arrested this week for planning to blow up the Los Angeles subway attended a radical California-based mosque that has been home to known terrorists and other extremist Muslims deported from the United States for their ties to terror.

Nicholas Teausant, 20, of Acampo, Calif., was charged Monday with attempting to provide material to support a foregoing terrorist organization, the U.S. District Attorney’s Office said. He made his first appearance in a federal courtroom in Seattle Monday afternoon.

Teausant was arrested at the Canadian border “with the intent of continuing to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, a foreign terrorist organization more widely known as al-Qaida in Iraq,” officials said.

Teausant—who was found to be in possession of “lone wolf” terror manuals that teach readers how to build and detonate bombs—was known to have attended a terror-tied mosque in Lodi, a small town east of San Francisco.

Nicholas Teausant, 20, of Acampo, Calif., was charged Monday with attempting to provide material to support a foregoing terrorist organization, the U.S. District Attorney’s Office said. He made his first appearance in a federal courtroom in Seattle Monday afternoon.

Teausant allegedly told an FBI informant online that the New Year’s subway bombing had been canceled because they had been “tipped off.”

The informant put the alleged would-be terrorist in contact with a mentor, who was actually an undercover federal agent. That undercover mentor gave Teausant the green light to travel to Syria. Teausant boarded an Amtrak train bound for Seattle Sunday night and then got on a bus. When the bus was about to cross the border into Canada federal agents stopped it, questioned Teausant and arrested him.

The college student has been charged with one count of attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization. If convicted, Teausant faces up to 12 years in prison.

Court documents say Teausant is a student at San Joaquin Delta Community College in Stockton and a member of the National Guard, who never underwent basic training because he didn’t meet academic requirements.

“He’s not a terrorist. He’s not evil,” Teausant’s mother said Monday, while sobbing.

CBS2/KCAL9 also spoke with the suspect’s grandmother, Virginia Teausant, by phone the same day. She said he “did join something, a Muslim or something, a religion, and we were really surprised by that and not happy about it.”

Who would be? More: Man arrested in Blaine sought to join al-Qaida

The complaint also said he had been planning since October to support the efforts of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, a group that has been fighting in Syria’s three-year-old civil war and is designated by the U.S. State Department as a terrorist organization.

Investigators said Teausant discussed his scheme at length with a person who turned out to be a paid FBI informant, repeatedly affirming that he was serious about it.

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant is a breakaway organization from al-Qaida that is considered one of the most brutal groups fighting in Syria’s civil war, made up largely of non-Syrian Islamic militants. It has seized several areas in Syria as it fights the government of President Bashar Assad.

The complaint said Teausant referred to himself as a convert to Islam but did not give details about when or why he may have done so. He met the informant through a mutual acquaintance, the document said.

Among  plans was to appear in videos for the group, without covering his face — to be “the one white devil that leaves their face wide open to the camera,” he was quoted in the complaint as saying.

Teausant’s baby daughter… he is a single parent.

The complaint also states that Teausant told the informant he has an infant daughter, and had arranged for his mother to get custody of the girl if he disappeared.

The Lodi Mosque in Lodi, Calif. / AP

The Lodi mosque has frequently found itself at the center of FBI terrorism investigations and its former imam was arrested and deported for urging his congregation to kill Americans in the wake of Sept. 11, 2001.

An Instagram account believed to be Teausant’s features several images of the mosque and comments such as, “Let’s hit dis prayer!! #muslim #prayer #alhamduilliah #mashallah #makedua #inshallah #AllahuAkbar.”

Terror mastermind Ayman Al-Zawahiri, a close friend of Osama bin Laden and current leader of al Qaeda, attended the mosque prior to 9/11, according to reports.

Ayman Al-Zawahiri, Al-Qaeda

“Every time I would go to the mosque, [Al-Zawahiri] would be coming or going,” an FBI informant testified, according to the Sacramento Bee. “He would quietly come to the mosque and leave.”

The Lodi mosque’s former imam, Hamid Hayat of Lodi, convicted on terrorism charges in 2007, was arrested in 2005 and accused of urging his followers to back bin Laden and kill Americans.

Ahmed was also accused by the Justice Department of having links to a terrorist group in Pakistan, according to local reports.

Ahmed eventually admitted to “criticizing” America, and his case was used as an early example of how radical individuals slip through the State Department’s visa system.

The imam was ultimately deported back to Pakistan as a result of his ties.

Another Lodi imam linked to Ahmed also was arrested in the terrorism probe and eventually deported back to Pakistan.

The terrorism probe was also widened to include other individuals in the community who admitted to having attended a “jihadist training camp in Pakistan for approximately six months,” according to local media reports.

Hamid Hayat, a suspect at the time who is now serving a federal prison sentence, reportedly told investigators that he and others “were being trained on how to kill Americans,” according to an FBI affidavit filed in 2005.

Hamid Hayat of Lodi, convicted on terrorism charges in 2007

Teausant’s time at the mosque may have contributed to a wider pattern of radical behavior that emerged in the months before he was arrested in the terror plot.

YouTube page believed to belong to Teausant includes videos of Anwar Al-Awlaki. He was also found with copies of al Qaeda’s Inspire magazine, which teaches readers how to commit acts of terror.

Teausant—who had expressed a desire to fight in Syria—allegedly texted an FBI informant in October of last year to say that “he had been reading Inspire and was upset and wanted to help the ‘Blind Sheikh,’” Omar Abdel-Rahman, a terrorist leader who is currently serving life in prison.

“WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING NOW!” Teausant texted to the informant, according to the FBI complaint.

Terrorism analyst Patrick Poole said Teausant’s radical online interactions were likely just as important as his personal ones.

“When you look at Teausant’s social media and the Justice Department complaint, you get a picture of someone who was participating in an online community that was contributing to his radicalization,” Poole said. “But you also see that he was heavily involved in a local community already known as a hotbed of radicalization known for anti-American sentiment, extremist speakers, terrorist fundraising, and regular themes of global Islamic grievances that contributed to that process.”

“From his own Lodi mosque you already have Hamid Hayat sitting in federal prison for spending two years at an al Qaeda training camp in Pakistan,” Poole said.

“It’s pretty certain that he wasn’t planning on joining the jihadist cause by getting to Syria all on his own—he was going to need financial and logistical help and contacts once he got there,” Poole added. “Historically we know those support networks already exist in the places he was hanging out regularly in Lodi and Stockton. That’s an angle that hopefully law enforcement are already looking at in this case.”

Imam Rapes Sister, Forces her to Abort Baby, Blames Job Stress

by  / FRONTPAGE MAG.

It is very stressful being an Imam. Sometimes all that Koran memorization gets you so stressed out that you have no choice but to rape your sister, impregnate her, force her to abort the baby and then have your other brother rape her.

Two imams arrested in a village near Kars in eastern Turkey accused of systematically raping their own sister, forcing her to have an abortion after being made pregnant by one of her older brothers.

In the village of Yakutiye, 21 year old HB informed the police that she had been raped by her older brother MB the previous Friday, further claiming that her other older brother AB had systematically raped her while she lived together with him. The girl, who had lost her mother seven years ago and her father last year, asserted that she had at one point been left pregnant by one of her older brothers, both of whom are Imams in the Directorate of Religious Affairs, and had to get an abortion.

After being arrested, the older brother of the 21 year old AB admitted to his crime, and stated that he had raped his sister due to pressure created by his position, while her other older brother MB added that he had given money to his younger sister as a part of the relationship he imposed.

Islam really puts a whole different spin on, “The family that prays together, stays together.”

British Minister (Muslim): “Persecution of Christians in the Middle East has the dimension of a global crisis”

Sayeeda Warsi

A slap in the face of our journalists, our churches and politicians who pretend the most devastating persecution of Christians in history does not exist, or even deny it calculated a Muslim, the British minister Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, spoke openly about forced conversions, torture and murder of Christians and named countries, militant groups “or even the family” as responsible. She demands concrete steps against the persecution of Christians.

Christian Persecution: Support unexpected side

The church in Britain has the greatest difficulty to speak. Persecution of Christians in Muslim society openly as a problem So it perishes the Evangelical Church (EKD) in Germany.

Christians brought into the closely receive support from unexpected side: a British Muslim politician and a senior German politician. The British Muslim minister, Baroness Sayeed Warsi, who among other things is responsible for religious affairs, by the evangelical news agency “Idea” with the statement quoted the persecution of Christians in the Middle East has the dimension of a “global crisis”. Precisely in “the cradle of Christianity are Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox victims of militant raids and expulsions,” the minister said.“That takes a mass exodus of biblical proportions off.” Facts to be appointed: Christianity is not “western import”, but has its roots.

The minister spoke openly about forced conversions, torture and murder of Christians and named countries, militant groups “or even the family” as responsible. She demands concrete steps against the persecution of Christians and bring an international conference next year on a plan against religiously motivated violence against Christians forward.

That the churches have been told that they do not care for their persecuted fellow Christians, by a secular politician for that churches should be ashamed. For example, was clear that the churches in Germany endeavor to the border of self-denial for a good relationship with the Muslims in the country, according to a fundraising of the evangelical church circuit Lennep (Remscheid / Bergisches Land) for under construction Mosque of the Turkish Islamic Union (DITIB). The theologian Michael Kotsch explained to “Idea” that this is an example of how one can understand the dialogue of religions wrong: “For fear of accusation of a lack of tolerance support Christian churches actively Islamic missionary work.” For true religious Dialogue is “a clear evangelical and recruiting for their own convictions necessary.” Instead of a donation for the construction of the mosque would be a nice copy of a Luther Bible as a gift at the opening of the mosque have been. “meaningful

Terrorists run social welfare programs in Syria to cajole civilians to join in Wahhabi Caliphate jihad

Sheep that howl? Yes, if you’re ISIS.

Al-Qaeda affiliated ISIS, the wolf in sheep’s clothing, is recruiting. And to prove to their Saudi financiers that they are doing their job, they use their favorite media to prove it to the Saudi’s: YouTube and Twitter. Although YouTube love to block our videos, I bet they have never blocked ISIS jihad rapports.

The Nazi’s, drug cartels and terrorists all have know that pretentious social welfare services is the cheapest and quickest way to win a suspicious and fearful public over on their side, before the intruder infiltrates everywhere and gets a strong hold to turn the tables and rule them with terror and fear. The Muslim Brotherhood gained their supporters the way. It’s a recommended war strategy from Hitler’s Mein Kampf (My Jihad), the most popular book in the Arab world.

-300x250

wolf-in-sheeps-clothing

This clamoring for any help, no matter who it comes from, is why it is so vital that Arab government’s in these countries establish jobs for youth, a functioning healthcare, rights, and welfare system so people don’t join in support for these nasty organizations that eventually turn them into terrorists.

The same method is utilized by Hamas to encourage parents to hand children over, who are then trained as terrorists. Over 13,000 “Palestinian” children had been trained as suicide bombers and terrorists in exchange for food, basic welfare and healthcare.

Life Under The Shadow Of The Islamists In Syria – Part III: Social And Economic Activity

Introduction

In addition to imposing their authority on the residents, maintaining security and order, and enforcing an Islamic lifestyle, the Islamist organizations operate vital services for residents in the domains of food, healthcare, and welfare, alongside educational and cultural activity meant to draw the public closer to the lifestyle of which they approve.

The following are examples of these activities:

Providing Public Services And Aid

In late March 2013 Jabhat Al-Nusra published lists of its civil activities in the Aleppo area and in Deir Al-Zor and eastern Syria. The organization’s actions in Aleppo include: maintaining power plants and the power grid, maintaining a water treatment plant and repairing a water main, removing trash, supplying flour to bakeries and regulating their operation, and opening a medical bureau. In Deir Al-Zor and the east it provided civil services via the shari’a authority operating there. The list of activities includes: operating gas stations and distributing gas and other fuels, operating a flour mill and bakeries, selling bread and flour and distributing free bread to the poor and displaced, supervising the supply of food to the Jabhat Al-Nusra fighters and to the brigades that operate jointly with it, operating a clinic, and building a wooden bridge. It was also stated that Jabhat Al-Nusra in eastern syria has an “aid committee.”[1]

Since early July 2013, the Himam news agency, which is associated with Jabhat Al-Nusra, has been posting videos on its YouTube page documenting the services provided by the organization to residents throughout Syria.[2]These services include cleaning the streets in Binnish in the Idlib Governorate, distributing food to residents in the town of Taum in the Idlib Governorate, distributing water to residents of Dera, baking bread and distributing it to the mujahideen on the Al-Ghouta front near Damascus, maintaining electrical transformers in Deir Al-Zor, and more.

The shari’a authority in Aleppo also operates schools in the city and assists students. A video posted to the authority’s Facebook page in May 2013 documents this service,[3] and another video from June 2013 shows a classroom full of children taking tests administered by “the free education department of the Aleppo Governorate shari’a authority.”[4]

Ahrar Al-Sham also operates da’wa and aid bodies for the residents. On May 22, 2013, the daily Al-Hayat reported that this movement was the strongest military faction in the town of Al-Raqqah in eastern syria, and was noted for its civil activity in the town. The movement’s supervisor in the town, Abu Hamza, told the daily that from the start, it had aspired to provide basic services to residents and that it was trying to achieve consent by other factions in the town to establish a powerful police force and a higher shari’a authority, which would be tasked with administration and the supply of services.[5]

During the holiday of ‘Eid Al-Fitr in August 2013, Ahrar Al-Sham’s aid office in the rural areas of Idlib distributed meals to residents, as well as toys and presents to children, and documented this activity in a video it posted.[6]

Another video published by the movement shows the public transportation services that it began operating in the Aleppo area after repairing buses damaged in the fighting.[7]

Buses operated by Ahrar Al-Sham (with the movement’s logo on the front)

The Ansar Al-Sham Brigades, which, along with Ahrar Al-Sham, belong to the Islamic Front and fight in the Al-Latakia and Idlib areas in northwest Syria, also operate civil services. Videos document members distributing food and books to residents during Ramadan[8] and paving roads in one of the villages.[9]

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) began operating among residents shortly after its establishment in April 2013. Thus, for example, during Ramadan the movement launched the “Ramadan Basket Campaign” that included distributing food and aid to residents in the Idlib area.[10]

ISIS also operates clinics in the city of Jarabulus in the Aleppo Governorate.

Islamic Activities: Religious Lessons For Children, Ramadan Activities

As is common with Islamic jihadi movements in recent decades, the Islamist opposition bodies in Syria accompany civil services with religious activities meant to instill Islamic values, such as sermons, religious lessons for children and adults, Ramadan activities, and more, and also put up signs encouraging religious adherence and jihad.

Terrorism and the ivory trade

The Shabab, which took responsibility for the deadly Westgate Mall attack in Nairobi, uses proceeds from ivory to fund its terrorist operations.

If the world needs another reason to get serious about combating elephant poaching, here’s one: The attack by terrorists on Westgate Mall in Nairobi. Income from illegal ivory trafficking is a substantial funding source for the Shabab, the group that claimed responsibility for the attack.

The connection between terrorism and wildlife smuggling is clear. An 18-month undercover investigation conducted by our groups found an indisputable financial trail between the illicit trade in ivory and rhino horns and the Shabab. This connection is of increasing concern to world leaders. In her recent announcement of a new global effort to combat poaching, former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton noted that African terrorist groups, including the Shabab, “fund their terrorist activities to a great extent from ivory trafficking.”

Our investigation detailed how the Shabab acts as a middleman, taking orders from agents in Asia or Persian Gulf states and purchasing ivory from small-time brokers to fill those orders. The terrorist group, we found, pays better than many middlemen (about $90 a pound in 2012), making it an attractive buyer. The brokers (often related by clan) who engage the poachers, pay about $23 per pound, which means they make a hefty return in their dealings with the Shabab.

A family of 12 elephants are the most recent victims of a new epidemic of poaching sweeping Kenya, and Africa.

The Shabab’s spot as a premier broker is in part due to its financial and organizational prowess. And a recent crackdown by the Kenya Wildlife Service on ivory smuggling at its ports and airports has made the group an even more essential player. But the real driver of the Shabab’s ivory business is soaring demand in consuming countries, which raises prices and makes the trade ever more lucrative. Illicit raw ivory now fetches nearly $700 per pound in some parts of Asia.

The money the Shabab earns from the black market in ivory allows the group to recruit and pay its soldiers well and consistently. Because of the trade, Shabab fighters are paid about $300 a month, while those in Somalia’s regular army have often earned far less.

Breaking the Shabab’s financial lifeline won’t be possible unless consumers quit buying ivory.

Every illegal ivory carving purchased has an associated trail of blood that leads from butchered elephants to terrorist fighters and ultimately to slaughtered human beings, like those in the Nairobi shopping mall.

While we welcome recent actions, such as President Obama‘s executive order and the just-announced three-year, $80-million Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action, which brings together NGOs, governments and concerned citizens to stop wildlife trafficking and the slaughter of Africa’s elephants, these things aren’t enough. It is ivory consumers who have the real power.

It is consumers who must understand the devastating toll of their purchases — and act accordingly.

Last year, more than 30,000 elephants were butchered on the African continent. A recent study found that more than 60% of the forest elephant population had been killed for ivory in the last decade, and scientists say they could well be extinct in 10 years if the butchery isn’t stopped.

And the larger savanna elephants are under attack too. In Zimbabwe, officials announced last month that more than 90 elephants were killed in a national park by poachers who spread cyanide in watering holes and salt pans, suggesting that poachers are growing more sophisticated and changing their tactics in response to more efficient operations by law enforcement agencies.

A ranger cuts the tusks off an elephant killed in a Kenyan national park to keep ivory off the black market. (Brent Stirton/Getty)

Buyers of ivory must understand that they are not simply purchasing a beautiful trinket. They are taking part in the slaughter of elephants. They are contributing to the deaths of rangers, men and women who lose their lives protecting elephants and rhinos. They are harming farmers, who have seen an increase in attacks by elephants traumatized by poachers. They are harming villagers and disadvantaged communities, who have been exploited by the poachers or forced into criminal activities.

It is expensive and logistically complicated for the Shabab to plan and carry out an attack, and the booming ivory trade is a very important source of funding. Consumers can impede the group by refusing to purchase ivory.

Executed as she talked to her mother on the phone: Fate of 16-year-old victim of Kenyan mall massacre as it emerges terrorists shot some children five times

  • Gunmen targeted 30 children who were taking part in a cooking event
  • As many as 30 hostages were taken by the Al Shabaab terrorists
  • Sources said militants hurled a severed hand and head from a balcony
  • The Kenyan military didn’t believe the hostages would survive their ordeal

Children as young as five were shot up to five times by the terrorists that carried out the Westgate mall massacre, it has emerged.

The attack, carried out last week by gunmen from Somalia-based terrorist group Al Shabaab, left 67 people dead, including six Britons.

New accounts of the extremists’ merciless assault reveal for the first time the fate of some of the 30 children who attended a cooking event at the mall. Some of them were as young as 12.

Response team: A grab from a video made available on Saturday September 28 showing an armed undercover police officer guarding a stairwell approaching the scene of the terror attack

Brave: An armed undercover police officer, left, and head of Westgate security (no name available), right, approach the terrorists

Rescued: Undercover police officers and police with guns asking shoppers caught up in the incident to leave with their hands up as they crouch on the ground for cover

Escape: A young girl runs from a store in Westgate, beckoned on by officials and shoppers

One girl at the event, 16-year-old Nehal Vekariya, was shot through the eye, according to The Sunday Times.

The paper reports her father’s final phone conversation with her.

He said: ‘She said “I’m okay, I’m with friends, call Mummy fast and tell her I’m okay”.’

When her mother called her she heard yelling and then gunshots, then the line went dead. She had been cut down at close range.

The paper also reports that witnesses describe children as young as five being hit up to  five times by the terrorists, as they roamed the mall looking for victims.

Mitul Shah, 38, meanwhile, a London-born father of one caught up in the siege, was hailed a ‘hero and a star’ for reportedly offering hicmself as a hostage to allow children to escape from militants.

According to The Sunday Times, one of the gunmen told victims: ‘You didn’t spare our women and children. Why should we spare yours?’

Firefighters, police and soldiers were faced with horrific scenes when they entered the mall.

One firefighter told the paper how he was sent in to put out a fire in the CCTV control room, started by rocket-propelled grenades that were fired by soldiers.

He heard screaming from a balcony, then gunshots, then saw blood dripping from above. Some security men were crying, he said. Then a severed hand and a head wrapped in cloth landed on the floor next to them.

A Western security official told The Sunday Times: ‘They were saying to the troops, “If you come any closer we will execute a hostage”.’

The extremists had piled dead bodies up against the doors to hinder their progress.

It’s understood from intelligence sources that the Kenyan military deliberately caved in the top floor car park to kill them, on the assumption that if the hostages weren’t already dead, they soon would be.

Al Shabaab was making proclamations on social media that they weren’t willing to negotiate.

As many as 30 hostages were taken by the terrorists according to the British High Commission, with many of them still unaccounted for.

A British SAS unit was on standby to help the Kenyan military, but they weren’t called in.

Eight suspects are being held over the attack according to Kenya’s Interior Minister Joseph Ole Lenku said. Three others who had been detained were released. At least five attackers also were killed.

Destroyed: Vehicles are seen in the rubble in the destruction at the Westgate Shopping Centre

However, there are fears that some of the extremists, including suspected British terrorists Samantha Lewthwaite, may be on the loose, having escaped through the city’s drainage system.

A unnamed source told The Sun on Sunday: ‘It may have been a way out for some of the terrorists. They could have escaped like sewer rats.’

On Saturday leaked intelligence briefings revealed that the Kenyan government had been warned some months ago Al Shabaab was planning an attack in Nairobi between September 13 and 21.

One report named suspected  terrorists in Nairobi who were ‘planning to mount suicide attacks on an undisclosed date, targeting Westgate Mall’ and a cathedral.

Mutea Iringo, principal secretary in the Ministry of Interior, said: ‘Every day we get intelligence and action is taken as per that intelligence and many attacks averted. But the fact that you get the intelligence does not mean something cannot happen.

‘What we are saying is that we are at war, and that every day some young Kenyan is being radicalised by al Shabaab to kill Kenyans.’

The murderous attack on the Westgate shopping mall in Kenya has brought home the need for ‘permanent vigilance’ against terrorism in the UK, Prime Minister David Cameron said today.

Mr Cameron said he had no intelligence of plans for an ‘imminent’ attack in Britain but acknowledged that there was a ‘worry’ that British-based Somalis trained by the extremist Al-Shabaab group in the east African country might return to the UK with the intention of committing outrages.

He said that he had chaired meetings of the Government’s Cobra emergency contingency committee over the past week to discuss the implications of the Westgate attack.

Contingency plans have already been put in place in the period following the similar attacks in Mumbai, India, in 2008, he said.

Mr Cameron told BBC1’s Andrew Marr Show: ‘We have been looking at this for a long time because of the appalling attack that happened in Mumbai in India.

‘I have personally chaired a whole series of meetings years ago, but again actually this week, to check that we have got everything in place to prepare for those sorts of attacks.

‘We don’t have intelligence that something is about to happen, but it pays to be very, very prepared, very, very cautious, and to work out we have everything in place we can to deal with awful events like this.’

Asked whether he was concerned that British-based Somalis might export terror from the African state to the UK, Mr Cameron said: ‘There is always a worry of that and there is a hotbed of terrorism in Somalia that spills over into other countries, and we are concerned about that and follow that.

‘What it shows I think is that we have to keep going against Islamist extremism, whether that is people that are home-grown in our own country or whether it is extremism that is fomenting either on the Horn of Africa or in West Africa or in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

‘It goes to this whole argument about why we need well-funded intelligence services, why we need to be engaged in the world, we need to share intelligence with others and why we have to be permanently vigilant.

‘I take these responsibilities incredibly seriously, I chair the Cobra meetings myself and I make sure that everything from ambulance to fire to police, that everything is prepared.

‘We don’t have intelligence about anything imminent, but of course when that Mumbai attack happened and you see what happened in Kenya, any responsible government would look at its own processes and procedures, and say how would we cope with something like that?’

Source: Store in besieged Kenyan mall run by attackers or associates

Voices from inside the Westgate Mall.

Nairobi, Kenya (CNN) — To anyone shopping at Nairobi’s Westgate Mall, it would likely have seemed just another store.

But according to a Kenyan intelligence official, the small shop concealed an ominous secret. It was rented by the Al-Shabaab terrorists, or their associates, who within a year would carry out an attack on the upscale shopping mall.

The information — revealed Friday to CNN by the source, who is close to the investigation into the attack — suggests the Somali terror organization had been planning the operation at least that long.

How the team of terrorists got their weapons and explosives into the mall without notice is a central part of the investigation into the attack, which left at least 67 people dead and parts of the upscale mall in ruins.

The Kenya Red Cross said Friday that 61 people remain unaccounted for. Some could be buried in the rubble of the partially collapsed mall.

At least five of the terrorists also died before Kenyan forces were finally able to bring the siege to an end on Tuesday. The terrorists stormed the building Saturday.

On a Twitter account believed to be run by Al-Shabaab, the group promised more attacks to come.

“The mesmeric performance by the #Westgate Warriors was undoubtedly gripping, but despair not folks, that was just the premiere of Act 1,” according to a tweet posted Thursday.

CNN could not confirm the authenticity of the tweet, but CNN terrorism analyst Paul Cruickshank said the account, which has also posted links to statements from Shabaab leader Mukhtar Abu Zubayr, appears to be legitimate, even if not “100% authenticated.”

Several Twitter accounts attributed to Al-Shabaab have been shut down in recent days, likely for violating the company’s rules against promoting violence in tweets.

While Kenyan Interior Minister Joseph Ole Lenku said Friday that eight suspects are being held for questioning in the attack, authorities are increasingly concerned that some of the attackers managed to escape alongside fleeing civilians in the aftermath of the initial attack, U.S. law enforcement officials told CNN.

On Thursday, a Kenyan counterterrorism source told CNN that one of the suspects is an injured Kenyan who was being evacuated when a machine gun magazine fell out of his pocket, leading to suspicion he was among the automatic-weapon toting terrorists who roamed the mall killing civilians. He is being held in a military hospital, the source said.

‘Eyes gouged out, bodies hanging from hooks, and fingers removed with pliers’: Horrific claims of torture emerge as soldiers reveal gory Kenyan mall massacre details

  • Kenyan soldiers claim to find scenes of torture by mall terrorists
  • They say children found dead in food fridges with knives still in bodies
  • Men were said to have been castrated and had fingers removed

Soldiers told of the horrific torture meted out by terrorists in the Nairobi mall massacre yesterday with claims hostages were dismembered, had their eyes gouged out and were left hanging from hooks in the ceiling.

Men were said to have been castrated and had fingers removed with pliers before being blinded and hanged.

Children were found dead in the food court fridges with knives still embedded in their bodies, it was claimed.

Soldiers told of the horrific torture meted out by terrorists in the Nairobi mall massacre yesterday with claims hostages were dismembered, had their eyes gouged out and were left hanging from hooks in the ceiling

Most of the defeated terrorists, meanwhile, were reportedly discovered ‘burnt to ashes’, set alight by the last extremist standing to try to protect their identities.

The horrifying details came yesterday as the first pictures emerged from within the wreckage of the building, showing piles of bodies left strewn across the floor.

A third of the mall was destroyed in the battle between terrorists and Kenyan troops.

Lying in the rubble are feared to be the bodies of as many as 71 civilians who have been declared missing by the Kenyan Red Cross.

With detectives, including the FBI and the Metropolitan Police, still unable to reach the wrecked part of the mall for fear of setting off explosives, it could take up to a week to determine exactly who is still inside.

Men were said to have been castrated and had fingers removed with pliers before being blinded and hanged during the four day siege

Pictured is the aftermath at Westgate Shopping Mall where the roof of the car park collapsed crushing three floors

Yesterday, soldiers and doctors who were among the first people into the mall after it was reclaimed on Tuesday, spoke of the horrifying scenes inside.

‘You find people with hooks hanging from the roof,’ said one Kenyan doctor, who asked not to be named.

‘They removed eyes, ears, nose. They get your hand and sharpen it like a pencil then they tell you to write your name with the blood.

‘They drive knives inside a child’s body.

‘Actually if you look at all the bodies, unless those ones that were escaping, fingers are cut by pliers, the noses are ripped by pliers. Here it was pain.’

A soldier, who took pictures at a bread counter and at the ArtCaffe, said he was so traumatised by what he saw he has had to seek counselling.

Bomb disposal experts with sniffer dogs were yesterday painstakingly combing the part of the building still standing for explosives before clearing forensic officers, police and troops to search for bodies.

The collapse happened on Monday when government troops launched a massive assault on the mall where up to 150 people are thought to have been killed

Images also emerged yesterday revealing the true extent of the destruction caused to the centre during the four-day battle between Kenyan forces and Islamic militants.

The first pictures taken inside the site show a gaping hole in the mall’s roof after three storeys collapsed when Kenyan soldiers fired rocket-propelled grenades inside the complex, knocking out a support column, a government official said.

Children’s buggies are left abandoned just metres from the yawning pit, as cars hang precariously over the edge. Beneath many more vehicles lie on top of each other, smashed to pieces.

The collapse happened on Monday when government troops launched a massive assault on the mall where up to 150 people are thought to have been killed.

During the firefight, hostages reportedly had their throats slashed from ear to ear and were thrown screaming from third-floor balconies as the siege came to a bloody end. Forensics teams, still sifting through the mountains of rubble, fear many more bodies are yet to be found.

Shell-shocked Kenyan troops said the inside of the Israeli-run mall resembled a ‘scene from a horror movie’ with blood spattered everywhere and dead bodies strewn across the floor.

Between 10 and 15 terrorists are thought to have stormed the mall on Saturday, according to Kenyan officials. The police said five insurgents were killed in the battle and at least 10 taken into custody

One soldier told the Daily Mirror: ‘I have seen many bad things, but this will haunt me for the rest of my days.’

The main thrust of the operation began at 6am on Monday when troops and helicopters surrounded the building, but their efforts were hampered by an Al Shabaab sniper who managed to pin them back for nearly 24 hours.

As tear gas was used to try to flush him out, another terrorist reportedly blew himself up. It is believed the resulting fire may have killed dozens of shoppers in a supermarket.

The following day, the soldiers were ordered to adopt a ‘shoot to kill’ policy and launched their final attack on the terror group on the roof of the mall at 5pm.

The mall was retaken about half an hour later.

Between 10 and 15 terrorists are thought to have stormed the mall on Saturday, according to Kenyan officials.

NAIROBI, KENYA (September 22, 2013)—A Sikh youth named Pavraj ‘Pablo’ Singh Ghataurhae has been reported as one of the victims killed by al Qaeda linked Somalian terrorist group al-Shabab during their attack on Westgate Mall in Nairobi Kenya today.

Armed gunmen faced off with Kenyan police and soldiers inside an upscale Nairobi shopping mall early Sunday, hours after brazenly gunning down shoppers, diners and more. On Saturday afternoon, the terrorists had freed all Muslims and began killing the non-Muslims present.

Satpal Singh, 36, another Sikh who was in a cafe on the mall’s top floor, said he ran downstairs when he heard the gunfire and was shot at near the mall’s main exit.

“A Somali guy shot at me. The guy who shot me was carrying a rifle, an AK-47.”

39 people, including Pavraj Singh, women, and other children were declared dead while another 293 people were injured.

Shocked people could be seen running away from the Westgate centre clutching children, while others crawled along walls to avoid bullets. “The gunmen tried to fire at my head but missed. At least 50 people were shot. There are definitely many casualties,” mall employee Sudjar Singh said.

“I saw a young boy carried out on a shopping cart, it looked like he was about five or six. It looked like he was already dead, he was not moving or making any noise.”

Vehicles riddled with bullet holes were left abandoned in front of the mall as police instructed local residents to stay away.

They are not fiction. They are not propaganda .They actually happened, and our mealy mouthed politicians are still pandering to Muslims, granting them concessions and expecting the 96% majority of non-Muslims to sit by and idly condone what is happening on our own shores ,never mind the trouble that surrounds Islam throughout the world ,wherever they care to lay their prayer mats!

AN INNOCENT SOLDIER HACKED TO DEATH AND BEHEADED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT ON A LONDON STREET.

And we in Britain are not alone. After suffering the immense tragedy of what was the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Centre and countless previous attacks on American interests abroad, both military and civilian, plus the horror of the Boston bombing ,the American administration is still sucking up to Muslims around the world…. and still there are no reasonable explanations of the Benghazi episode!!

We also see this Muslim encroachment and susequent appeasement mirrored throughout Europe!
